1. Its Not About You
When you're talking with your wife or you're just around your wife - do you make it always about you somehow? If so, try to show genuine interest in what she's saying or what she's interested in and show her your care about what she cares about.
2. Clarity Is Key
Consider the value of clarity and transparency in your communication with your wife. How can you make sure that your messages and words are clearly and honestly shared with her? Too often it's "he said - she heard" communication and no one wins when that's the case!

1. Repeat It Back To Her
Have you ever heard your wife say something and you clarify it with her and she says, 'No, that's not what I'm saying!'. This is why its important to be a reflective listener and to make sure what you've heard is what she's actually said.
2. Schedule It
When do you and your wife have time - even just a few minutes - to connect and let her share what's on her mind, calendar, etc? If you're not sure, be sure to schedule a consistent time for this. It's key for her to know you know what matters most to her!
